A lot of people have heard of the likes of Red Robin, or Five Guys, but, Delaware has the best kept burger secret around. Since 1991, locally owned and operated Jake's Hamburger has been steadily producing the ultimate hamburger. Jake's is not only the best hamburger in Delaware, but, arguably the United States. Only Akron, Ohio's famous Skyway can compete.
There's a few Jakes around the Wilmington / Newark area. As Delaware is not exactly a Texas sized state, that means there is a Jake's nearby. My present favorite is located on Philadelphia Pike, ironically, almost across the street from the lesser McDonald's.
Now, Just how good is Jake's? Well, compared to a Jakes, the Hardees Monster Thickburger, the McDonald's Angus, even the famous Five Guys burgers are all lame. Jake's is the Godzilla of taste, whose every bite saturates the soul with the joy of a great patty cooked to order on an amazing roll. Grilled to order, using fresh ground meat, never frozen, Jake's is amazing.
Seriously, you simply have to try it.
Do you have a craving for a good burger? If you are on Philadelphia Pike, don't bother with the McDonald's Angus. Just drive a few minutes down the street, and pop into Jake's.
While you are at it, order yourself a milkshake. You will not be disappointed. Jake's is the best hamburger in Delaware, if not the world.
