Fairfax Hardware Review

Fairfax Hardware

A Hardware Store with Service and Class

The dominance of the likes of Home Depot, Lowes and a resurgent Sears can be a challenge for community oriented people who wish to support their local hardware store. Fortunately, Delaware is blessed with a very good one in Fairfax Hardware, right off of Rt 202.

Fairfax hardware prospers through a well thought out product selection, and excellent service.

Walk into a FairFax store, and someone is going ask you right away if you need help. You may. The store is larger than you might think, with a well stocked selection of things like screws, nuts bolts, tools, and general things the people who build in this country might need. I stopped by for chain oil, and I was immediately whisked to the spot where they had a nice selection. A quick look through the store shows a great assortment of shovels and picks and rakes and drills and hammers and screws and nuts and bolts, cleaning supplies, outdoor things and the obligatory grill out front. They even had a real shovel, sized just right for my six year old.

The service is special at Fairfax . Walk in with a half stripped screw, or just explain what you need a screw for, and they are going to have a pretty good guess as to what you might need. Their selection of knobs and drawer pools is pretty darned good as well, and the tool section is well, certainly good enough for a buildin' American to get his or her blood flowing. And, unlike Home Depot, you will not have to do the stupid machine to check out. You actually get a person working behind the cash register.

FairFax Hardware - this is the kind of place where the American flags are made in the USA. The people that run this place know what they are doing.
