Nestled inside Wilmington Delawares Concord Mall, right off Route 202, Cafe Riviera is a gem of a little pizza place.
Anchored by a Boscovs and Sears, Concord Mall is a right size mall for those of us looking for a quick place to shop about town. With a decent food court and Chic-Fila, you might not even notice that one of the best New York style pizza slices in the tri-state area is served here.
This would be to your loss.
Locally owned and operated, Cafe Riviera serves up a great slice of pizza. They have all the popular types thick, thin, and pan. I prefer the thin, which for me evokes a New York City street style. The slice of pizza is delicious, well balanced and holdable. It's among my favorite slices of pie - anywhere. They also serve a great bruschetta.
Service is fast and friendly. The servers are usually teenagers, fit, well dressed and courteous, more kids than eye candy - although your own teens will see things differently. They take credit cards and both food and to-go-withs such as sodas are reasonably priced for a mall. As an added bonus, for those more stressful shopping adventures, there is a bar in the back, with big screens, great for a quick drink sports break. Admittedly, today's Philadelphia sports might require more than one!
